Matchday Ladder is a free football prediction game. It uses virtual points only - there is no real money, no purchases, and no gambling. This page explains what we store, why, who else touches it, and how to get it deleted. We keep it short and honest.

What we collect

  • Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your name and email address. We don't ask for, or get, access to anything else in your Google account - not your contacts, calendar, or files.
  • Your display name. Whatever you choose to show on leaderboards (it starts as your Google name; you can change it on your profile).
  • Your play. The bets you place, your stakes and results, the leagues you join, and any missed-matchday penalties - the things needed to run the game and keep score.
  • Your notification choices. Whether you want push and/or email, and for which alerts. If you turn on push, your browser gives us a delivery token for that device so we can send it.

We do notcollect payment details (there's nothing to buy), and we don't run advertising or third-party tracking.

Why we use it

Only to run the game and talk to you about it: sign you in, show your bets and league standings, and - if you've asked for them - send the "bets are out" and pre-kickoff reminders. That's it. We don't sell your data or share it for anyone else's marketing.

Who else touches it

These are the services we use to run the app. Each only gets what it needs:

  • Google - sign-in, and delivery of push notifications if you turn them on.
  • Supabase - the database and sign-in system that stores your account and play.
  • Vercel - hosts the app.
  • Resend - sends the reminder emails (gets your email address and name to do so).

The odds and results come from a sports-data provider, which receives none of your personal information.

Cookies

We use one essential cookie: the session that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can turn emails off anytime from your profile, and turn push off from any device.

To delete your account and everything tied to it, email us at privacy@matchdayladder.com from your sign-in address and we'll remove it. You can also ask for a copy of what we hold about you.

Children

Matchday Ladder isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. For anything important, we'll say so in the app.
